100 Days of PASSOLO 6.0

100 Days of PASSOLO 6.0
The current version of the award-winning localization tool has already established itself as a standard.
(Bonn, 20 September 2006) PASS Engineering is presently celebrating the first 100 successful days of PASSOLO 6.0. The consistently positive echo from customers and the clear increase in sales for the German software company show that PASSOLO’s new features are exactly what the market really needs. “Compared with the first half of the year, our turnover has increased by another 40%,” says Claudia Fricke, Business Development Manager of PASS Engineering
One key factor for the success of the new version is the extended support for Microsoft.NET, now including Framework 2.0; customer demand for this feature has been enormous. Other features such as the HTML editor and networking functionality have also attracted a lot of customers. “What all the innovations of this version have in common,” says Fricke, “is that they help users save time, and money. And the users have recognized and acknowledged these benefits.”
.NET localization is going to be the focus of a workshop by the managing director of PASS Engineering and TILP professional Florian Sachse to be held prior to the coming Localization World Conference in Montreal (16-18 October 2006): Sachse’s workshop “How to master .NET Localization” will provide a practical introduction on how to handle .NET in the localization process.
About PASS Engineering
PASS Engineering GmbH, located in Bonn, Germany, has been in business since 1990. Their focus was initially in the development of medical-technical software, but later shifted to the field of software localization.
In the context of globalization, software localization plays a key role: localization tools like PASSOLO present the translatable data so that it can be edited in a simple but secure way. By leveraging already translated strings it is possible to accelerate the time-to-market cycle. The Add-in concept allows data exchange between PASSOLO and other tools relevant to the localization process.
For further information on PASSOLO, please refer to www.passolo.com or contact PASS Engineering GmbH, Remigiusstraße 1, 53111 Bonn (Germany), phone: +49 228 697242, fax: +49 228 697104, e-mail: info@passolo.com.
